I've found my furever family!

Kaori is a 6 month old Chow/Australian Shepard mix. She is a high energy and playful puppy! She gets along great with other dogs and is ready to find her people. Kaori came to the rescue with parvo-virus and fought hard for her life. During her parvo treatment she developed a very strange wound on her arm. She has been with the rescue for about 2 months now and is so excited that it is now her time to be placed up for adoption. The rescue wanted to make sure she was healthy and that her wound was mostly healed before finding her family. She is currently in a foster home with other dogs and children. Kaori does take time to warm up to new people. She is a little timid, but once she warms up to you, she will forever be loyal. She is protective of her family and really enjoys when her family is home a lot or if she is able to ride along with. She has been working on crate training, but really it is not her favorite time of the day and she much prefers to be laying next to you. Kaori is young and in her prime time for training. She needs a family who understands the traits of her breeds and is willing to work with her to make her the best family dog ever! Her wound is not completely healed, but at this time does not need much besides cream and to be monitored. Wounds can take a long time to fully heal and we feel it is best for her at this time to find her family to start bonding with. The rescue will be able to answer any questions about the wound and treatment if you are interested in adopting Kaori.
