So You Want To Adopt Your New Best Friend
Adoption First Animal Rescue will consider adoptive families in the United States. Our goal is to make the best rescue match taking into consideration the animal's background and your family's needs. Every animal is different: personality, temperament, energy, comfort with kids and other animals, medical needs and more. We take all these factors into consideration when making a furever-home match. We are very careful about the placements we make. We do our best to match the right animal with the right adoptive home because we want this to be the pet's permanent home.
OUR PROCESS
Apply
We appreciate you wanting to bring a animal into your home. In order for us to find the right pet for you, we need you to submit an adoption application.
Review
We will review your application upon receipt. If we have any questions or concerns, we will contact you for clarity.
Home Check
Once your application review is complete, a Adoption First Animal Rescue representative will contact you to submit your virtual home check. For some special cases we may require an in-person home check. At any time, the rescue can ask for a follow up home check.
Taking your pet home
Once your application is approved, contract submitted, and adoption fee paid you will be able to take your pet home!
Additional Information
We will not discuss adoption details regarding any particular Dog/Cat if you have not yet applied to adopt.
- Adoption First Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization. Our home visits are done virtually within 7 days of adoption and in some cases prior to adoption.
- All Dogs/Cats s are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all shots prior to adoption.
- Adoption fees range, based on the age and health of each individual animal.
