Dog nursing several puppies on a bed.

Mama

She recently tested heartworm positive, and she cannot begin the lifesaving treatment she needs without help. On top of that, caring for a mama dog and nine growing puppies takes a lot — puppy food, formula, pee pads, blankets, cleaning supplies, and so much more.

🌟 We’re asking for support to keep Mama healthy, comfortable, and strong for her babies — and to fund her heartworm treatment so she can live the long, happy life she deserves.

💛 Ways to Help:• Donate directly toward her heartworm treatment• Sponsor a bag of puppy food or supplies• Share this post to spread the word

Every single dollar makes a difference for Mama and her nine little ones. Thank you for showing her the love she’s never had until now. 🐾💜

Heartworm Treatment

Heartworm disease is a serious and potentially fatal disease in pets in the United States and many other parts of the world. It is caused by foot-long worms (heartworms) that live in the heart, lungs and associated blood vessels of affected pets, causing severe lung disease, heart failure and damage to other organs in the body. Heartworms are completely preventable with a monthly prevention. About half of the dogs in county animal shelters are positive for heartworms. Many rescues are unable to take these dogs in because of the extensive cost to treat. We are fortunate enough to have great donors, a wonderful vet staff, and a great fundraising team that has allowed us to take on Heartworm Positive dogs. Please consider donating to these causes so we can continue saving dogs lives.
